Full time - over the summer
Starting times for part time and full time are negotiable as are hours for part-ime.
Full time employment is 37.5 hrs/week.
Salary: $14.00/hr

General description and duties:
The community facilitator will be working with young adults with developmental disabilities to become established in their local communities through employment and recreational activities.
STEPS Forward supports young adults with intellectual disabilities to attend university and college in regular courses and activities. Students are supported to attend classes, participate in course work, extra-curricular activities and social events, and to make social connections - basically, to participate inclusively in an authentic university experience. In the summer months, STEPS Forward also connects students with employment that is related to their fields of study. Alumni are supported by STEPS Forward to find (or continue) employment that is meaningful and long-term, and to connect to their community beyond university.
Minimum qualifications:
Must be enrolled in university or college and intending to return as a full time student in September. The successful applicant will possess characteristics such as strong people skills, creativity, persistence, patience, and a desire to positively affect the lives of others.
Candidate who are not returning to post secondary education but are specifically interested in this type of career employment will also be considered.
