Discussion listservs

  • University of Alberta Inclusion Listserv:     The goal of this list is to provide educators, researchers, parents and individuals interested in Inclusive Education (i.e., meeting the needs of all students in the regular classroom) information about teaching strategies, teaching materials, books, conferences, support groups, and other materials related to inclusive education.

  • On Campus Outreach listserv (Univeristy of Maryland).  The purpose of On-Campus Outreach (OCO) is to provide information and support to programs and personnel that provide services to public school students ages 18-21 with significant disabilities in post-secondary settings such as colleges, universities, or other community locations.

  • Disability and higher education policy discussion list on  JISCmail is a mailing list service sponsored by the JISC, for the UK Higher and Further Education communities, enabling members to stay in touch and share information by e-mail or via the web. JISCmail is based on a Listserv system which is hosted and run by a dedicated team at the CCLRC's Rutherford Appleton Laboratory.

  • PSE.Forum is a private list for use by people interested in sharing stories, strategies, and ways to overcome barriers  to make college accessible for people with disbilities.  Subscriptions to this list are by invitation only.  Please contact the list owner at: PSE.Forum-request@lists.unh.edu

  • Austed list currently hosted by the University of Tasmania. This discussion list provides a forum for disability practitioners to share resources, provide professional support and discuss the issues and challenges of providing disability support services in tertiary education and training.

  • DSSHE (USA listserv) hosted by the University at Buffalo. Disabled Student Services in Higher Education listserv is a forum for professionals involved in the delivery of services to students with disabilities in higher education.

  • SRDRN list - The Social Relations of Disability Research Network was created in 1996 by disabled scholars who span the movement and Academe, and other scholars whose research and teaching in disability studies has been influenced by the new paradigm of the Social Model of Disability. In 1997 a core group of scholars based in Sydney successfully sought Commonwealth funding to create a research network which would operate across Australia. The Network would stimulate research, debate and scholarship in the social relations of disability, from a range of humanities and social sciences, from feminist scholarship, sociology, social work, law, anthropology, political science, cultural studies, history and so on. It is open to scholars, researchers, post graduate students, honours students and other research and policy practitioners who support social analysis approaches to disability.
